Field trips provide an important avenue for student learning and personal development that complements the classroom instruction in important respects. They can enrich and extend the curriculum and, in doing so, often motivate students. Students will gain a more in-depth perspective and appreciation for the subject matter. Field trips expose and provide the opportunity for students to encounter and explore novel things in an authentic setting and is best understood when experienced firsthand.
Every other year the 7th & 8th grade classes travel to Petersburg, Kentucky, for 5 days where they will connect with the scientific/biblical history of creation. The Creation Museum shows God's infallible word is the place to begin if we want to make sense of our world. Students will experience earth's history as God has revealed in the Bible. They will step back in time, beginning with Creation, and fast forward to Christ's return. Along the way they see how God's word provides the big picture answers for our most difficult questions, whether about science, the Bible, or their personal relationship with God.
The travel dates are April 12-16, 2019. Travel cost is $250.00 per student and $350 per parent. Price includes: 4 night hotel stay, all meals, and all admissions to the attractions.
