Enrichment Fridays Beginning Fall of 2018

Enrichment Fridays will serve as an opportunity for students to explore some nontraditional learning through family enrichment (outside of school) or educational enrichment (at school).


Each school Friday will be a full day of learning activities that are planned and intentional for further growth and development that will include community service projects, local field trips and life skills instruction for those that choose to attend.


Core classroom teaching, testing and homework assignments will occur Monday through Thursday. Students will not be counted absent on Fridays.


Enrichment Friday Fall 2018 Schedule:

Aug. 24 In-house service project
Aug. 31 Calico Rock Heritage Museum and Visitor Center and the Tomlinson Art & Science Museum
Sept. 7 Normal School Day (because of Labor Day)
Sept. 14 Baxter County Fair (for grades 1-4)
Passion Play in Eureka Springs (grades 5-12)
Sept. 21 Plant fall flowers for MH Baptist Church
Sept. 28

10:30-11:30 Optional Voice Lessons with Heather Grace Spencer
12:30 Kathy Meadows (TBD for younger students)
12:30 Visit to Donald W. Reynolds Library (older students)

Kids of Courage (Voice of the Martyrs)

Activity sheets for sixth grade and under. Teacher led time of learning and prayer. Older students will write letters to those in prison for the sake of the cross

Nov. 2 Table Etiquette and more! Robin Robinson will help our children brush up on the basics and polish their manners just in time for Thanksgiving. Age appropriate for all.
Nov. 9 Sight and Sound Theater – SAMSON (Discounted group tickets (including tax) will be $25.78 for children and $52.18 for adults. As with all of our field trips, families are encouraged to join us on our outings! Showtime is 3:30. Students depart from MHCA by 1:00.
