Field trips provide an important avenue for student learning and personal development that complements the classroom instruction in important respects. They can enrich and extend the curriculum and, in doing so, often motivate students. Students will gain a more in-depth perspective and appreciation for the subject matter. Field trips expose and provide the opportunity for students to encounter and explore novel things in an authentic setting and is best understood when experienced firsthand.
Every year the 4th grade class travels to the Arkansas State Capitol, in Little Rock, for three days where they will connect with our state's history and culture as they take in the museums, monuments and of course meet Governor Hutchinson.
The travel dates are May 2-4, 2019. Travel cost is $200.00 per person and includes: 2 night hotel stay, all meals, and all admissions to the attractions.
