Sunday, May 17: This is our volunteer/service hour deadline. Service hours can be conveniently added in the FACTS family portal under "family". Volunteer hours have been added this week for those that helped with the Teacher Appreciation Breakfast. Facts accounts will be charged on Monday, May 18th for those that do not meet the volunteer/service requirements.
Tuesday, May 19th: Aquatic Center Day! Pre-K, 3 and 4 year olds must be transported by parents and arrive at the Aquatic Center at 9:00. K-5th grade will be leaving MHCA at 9:00 and start shuttling back at 11:00, 6th-12th grade will start shuttling over at 12:30 and back to MHCA at 3:00 PreK-2nd will be on the splash pad only, 3rd-5th will have access to the pool if they can swim-(as noted on student's permission slip)
All students, boys and girls, will be required to wear a t-shirt/water shirt over their swimsuits. Permission slips went out today to your student.
Wednesday, May 20th: Yearbook signing and Patriotic Field Day. Our middle school students are leading water activities for Field day. We need donations of sliced watermelon from 1st-3rd grade and bottles of water from 4th-6th grade. If you can help with this, please reach out to your student's teacher.
Deadline of Thursday, May 21: Lost and Found! Is your student missing an item of clothing, glasses, jewelry, etc.? Please drop by the school and look through the Lost and Found. All unclaimed items will be donated after Thursday, May 21, the last day of school.
Those that signed up, bring Teacher Appreciation breakfast items to the gym by 8:00am on Monday.
It's Teacher Appreciation Week this week! Write a little note to encourage a teacher! On Monopoly Monday, students can wear green, gold, or money themed accessories.

Finally, All 2026-2027 MHCA K-12 students need to have completed their EFA renewal or a new student application for EFA if they plan to use EFA funding to help with tuition next year. Returning students renew in ClassWallet by simply completing their survey and new students apply at the Arkansas Dept. of Education website. The deadline is June 1 and that is quickly approaching! You can find the link for new students on our website under Financial Aid.
Mountain Home Christian Academy remains fully operational and is still accepting students, not buyers. :)
This morning's "For Sale" sign was the work of our creative senior class as well as many interior "modifications" . We appreciate their humor, initiative, and surprisingly strong marketing skills.

Teacher Appreciation week is next week! Think of how you can honor your teacher. We are still in need of a couple more volunteers to help with setup for the Teacher appreciation breakfast on Monday, May 11. Setup will be from 7:30-8:00am. We have food covered and it shoud arrive before 8:00am directly to the gym. Dress up day for "Monopoly Monday": wear green, gold, or money themed accessories.

Finally, Improvements are being made to the uniform portal in light of parent feedback from last year's experience. Be watching for new information and the chance to get your uniforms ordered for next school year. We expect the portal to open mid-May.

Wednesday, May 6: Early Ed chapel will be led by our Juniors.
Wednesday and Thursday, May 6-7: Senior Finals
Thursday, May 7: Seniors last day of school. Bittersweet!

Remember, the deadline to input service hours for this school year is Sunday, May 17th! You can input hours easily in the FACTS family portal. The requirements are 10 service hours per K-12 family, 10 service hours per 7th/8th grade student, and 25 service hours for 9th-12th grade students. Families that do not meet the hour requirement will be charged a pro-rated fee on May 18th through FACTS according to the number of hours served.
Senior Week and Teacher Appreciation Week both are next week, May 11-15.

Just a reminder, testing begins for Grades K-7 tomorrow and extends through the week. It is our goal to make testing as low stress as possible for our students. It is important for your student to be well rested, nourished, and present at school during this week Thanks for your help in this area.
